Hite Hires former budget chief

Philadelphia: MATTHEW E. Stanski, who was chief financial officer with Prince George’s County, Md., schools until a payment scandal forced his removal in September 2012, has been named the Philadelphia School District’s new CFO by Dr. William Hite Jr, district sources have told the Reform Sasscer Movement. State officials review campaign finance complaint.

The Maryland State Board of Elections is looking into a complaint against Prince George’s County School Board Chairman Verjeana Jacobs (District 5) that raises questions about campaign finance reports her campaign filed this year. The most recent report was filed less than two weeks before her reelection. (Read more).
