
PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Prince George’s County Police says a woman teacher was found dead inside a Beltsville high school Wednesday night.
They say the woman was found at 7:15 p.m. inside High Point High School on Powder Mill Road.
Thursday morning, a Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) spokesperson identified the woman as Cheryl Mitchell, a popular teacher at the school. The official says Mitchell was found deceased of natural causes in her classroom.
At this time, police say there are no signs of foul play.
The spokesperson says the 57-year-old was known as a strong student advocate who respected and supported diversity.
At the moment, most teachers are under stress due to covid- 19 pandemic.
